Kanchenjunga South - To Oktang and Back
This is one of the reasons people do the Kanchenjunga trek! A couple of perfect days at high altitude, lots of sun and snow and big mountains all along the way.

Pictures from the higher and wilder part of the Kanchenjunga South trek. There are no villages here, only a few lodges most of which were closed in March. This is the place where green disappears and gives way to barren rocky landscapes and big icy mounta
Some of my favorites from the first part of the Kanchenjunga trek. Most of the walk here is at low altitudes of about 2000 m, the scenery is green and it is full of warm and friendly people.

Pictures from my latest trip to Nepal in March 2014. It covers Kathmandu and its surroundings as well as the main purpose of the trip - a trekking around Kanchenjunga (8586 m), the third highest mountain on the planet.
Lakes, forests, lots of open spaces... just Ontario ;-)

Starting west from Namche, Thame Valley is a less-travelled destination in Solu Khumbu. It is remote and serene and the views from Renjo La (5400 m) are some of the best in Nepal.
My best pictures from a trip to Nepal in October 2012. The first album is from around Kathmandu and the other four are each from a different valley around Mt. Everest, including: Khumbu, Thame, Gokyo and Imja (Island Peak)
